Angry Water water everywhere

Water water everywhere

Yes the water is back, roads closed, tree's down from the wind, elec: supply off, and can't get to the farm and office from my flat in Hay-on Wye for three days now

It also looks like more to come

How are things where you are?

We are all fine, but it is bad round here, the farm is cut off, only Timbo there, I'm doing office work at home, and here at the site on my lap top.

Timbo said power is off, but is running the gen set for power. Bob is ok but having to clear road drains every 2 hrs he said, the drains build up with sticks and what comes off the fields that are full of water

Bob his his one foot and leg very bad again, but said he did get to the leg club and the Doctor today, Bobs Wife is having to clear the drains even at night with Bob holding a light.

Some banks at the sides of the backs roads have washed down into the roads and no one can pass.

Water has been to high for the school bus.

Good news is that rain has now stopped here in Hay-on-Wye, and wind has gone.

I think the rivers will be next to flood, but they are on low ground and we are all on high ground so no trouble from them.

Good thing is I got all the tax work done and VAT and customes books all in on time, and can do any other work on line from my flat anyway.

I do help out with the sheep, and when wet like this it's a lot of work for Timbo when I can't get to the farm to help out, and I do worry about them the poor sheep in all this wet, it's not nice to see them standing in mud and water, and feeding as a real job

Thanks Guy's, I can't say things are much better, as a lot more rain today in fact all day, and the fields are standing in water, I am back at the farm and my office, as Tim took the tractor down to get me today. so I will stay here for the next week or so.

We got the sheep in today, over 170 ewes as we would have lost a number of them if we had not done so, they really look so much better, it's been a big worry for Bob and Tim.

Tonight we have the log burner going, and I'am cooking something nice to eat, the power is back also, there is still no way out or in only be tractor

They say things look better for the weekend, I do really hope so, sorry There are no photos there has just been on time and due to wind and driving rain

That's so right, we would get them in around March most years for lambing, and this has been the first year ever to get the in due to rain.

The rain stopped around 2-30 today, no wind but very cold, we plan the go down to the pub in Longtown later all being well, they do good food and music Friday nights, take a look
