if it's made of PLA it may melt since PLA is biodegradable.

Look again, I think you are confusing PLA with PVA...?

![]() BJD DOLL 1/3 55cm
PRINTED DOLLS Continuing with our printer exploits... IONA 'Iona' gets an initial makeover. ![]() "Ain't I cute?" ![]() JURA ...has arrived! 'Jura' has completed her gestation and was 'born' by Allie this afternoon. It was a relatively painless birth... ![]() "Hi!" No makeup as yet. She's got a slightly bigger nose, chubbier cheeks and a more pronounced chin than her sister. She also has elf ears, but I don't think we will see much of them with her current hairstyle!

![]() DS Ex-Lite Conversion
I became the proud owner of a second hand DS Ex-Lite Kayla and I promised to take her on an outdoor adventure. This.... I have done! And my, oh my, is she a cracking little pot of luscious, lightweight loveliness! I had considered an adaptation to the standard neck connector on the EX-Lite to allow the attachment of M16 style heads. This will allow me to take all my girls out, though not at the same time without some extensive editing! Anyhoo, here goes.... ![]() The spoils of my labour... ![]() I have sliced off the standard connector and used a very sharp 13mm flat wood bit to drill into the remaining plastic. The plastic drilled remarkably easy! ![]() The nature of the drill bit actually makes the hole slightly bigger than 13mm. Big enough to slide in a 14mm aluminium post. I roughened the post a bit with sandpaper and a few taps with a hammer has made it secure. ![]() All cleaned up and ready to receive a M16 head, which simply sits on the 14mm aluminium bar. ![]() And it looks like Sarah-Lou will be the next candidate for an outdoor shoot? I just need to hide the colour match issue by wrapping a scarf around her and maybe slapping on some gloves and she has become a lightweight Jinsan, ready to go on outdoor trips! I'll 3D print an adapter to get the original Kayla heads to use the new connection. JOB DONE!
